The historic oak forest area of Dubrow, located south of Königs Wusterhausen, is home to oak trees that have reached an impressive age of up to 300 years. In the 12th century, the area was utilised as a 'herding oak forest'. During the winter months, the farm animals were permitted to graze on the acorns. From the 17th to 19th centuries, the area was designated as a royal hunting ground. Over time, a population of up to 8 cm-long stag beetles has developed. According to the Red List of Germany, this beetle species is classified as "strongly endangered." Stag beetles typically select dead oak tree stumps with a certain degree of decomposition, corresponding light conditions, and proximity to an existing population as breeding sites. These conditions remain in place in Dubrow. In mid-June, visitors to Dubrow will have the rare opportunity to see these stag beetles.

Furthermore, the region boasts a plethora of other exquisite natural attractions, including the Dahme-Heideseen nature park, the Dubrow, and the Mochheide.
